Notice of the Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 5th Annual General Meeting of the Old Peterites’ Group of Pre 1970 will be held at the Sr. Flora Hall (former Library) at St. Peter’s College on Friday, 25th May 2012 at 6.45 p.m.

Agenda for the Annual General Meeting

1. Read Notice convening the meeting
2. Opening Prayer
3. Two minutes silence in memory of Old Boys and Satff who have passed away during the year
4. Excuses
5. Adoption of the minutes of the 4th AGM
6. Adoption of the Annual Report 2011/12
7. Adoption of the Accounts for the year 2011/12
8. Address by the Patron
9. Address by the President
10. Resolutions
11. Election of Office Bearers

The following Office Bearers will be elected:

• Hony. President
• Vice-President – 2 posts
• Hony. General Secretary
• Hony. Assistant Secretary
• Hony. Treasurer
• Hony. Assistant Treasurer
• 6 Committee Members

It must be noted that the following will not be eligible to be re-elected for reasons mentioned hereunder.

• Bentley Barsanbech – has held the office of President for 3 years
• Jayantha Atapattu – has held the office of Vice President for 3 years but is eligible to be elected to any other office
• Nihal Wijeratne – has held the office of Hony. Treasurer for 3 years and but is eligible to be elected to any other office
• Desmond Perera – ceased to be a Committee member due to absence for more than 3 consecutive committee meetings and cannot hold office for 3 years from now
